I see the ms460 has a good following would it be worth putting the extra money in and buying a brand new ms461 or is it a case of the new saws are not built as well as there preaddresses.

Echo or Dolmar; PS6100 can be had for under £500.

Sawtroll will be along in just a minute to slate echo and dolmar :001_rolleyes::laugh1:

YOU CANT BUY DOLMAR IN THIS COUNTRY!

The price of a ps5105 is €600 so that renders importing from Germany useless, and importing from America means they don't have a CE stamp, and therefore not legal for use. Argue that it doesn't matter, but if an accident occurs whilst felling with the saw, and the HSE get involved, you'll feel the effects as a timber cutter!

I was chatting to the Makita guys at the APF, you can now get dolmar in the UK, just ask the dealer... They are exactly the same as the makitas though, just a different colour.

Its a shame they have stopped making the 7901 which was an awesome saw, and ideal firewood size, runs 18-14" bar..
