Yard finding stress - Ipswich

Are you just looking for a yard or are you being inventive with your thinking ?

What about a corner of a farm yard or field, most farmers will be happy to relieve you of a few quid for use of an area that they don't use themselves

Or do you work closely with any others in your area that would yard share, better to split overheads as long as the ground rules are set down to start with so you both keep things tidy etc

My very first yard was a small piece of hard standing on a local dairy farm . It worked well for me until I could find a better yard . I still use the dairy farmers tractor and trailer as and when needed . It was a top yard although I wanted a more private ( middle of nowhere type of yard ) . Most farmers will let a piece of land to you . Having said that you must be prepared for some haggling :001_smile:

Thanks for the replies chaps.

Really im after secure storage for everything, my main tip site is east of Ipswich hence would be handy if close to that, more than happy to share.

what are you looking for? What are you willing to pay? Capel St Mary any good?

YES 8mins from home on a good A12 day

In short needs to be secure. Enough room for transit, landy, chipper, large ifor, stumpy and workbench/ tool storage area. I need to work out square feet of space needed etc.

Currently all my logs go to the tip site farmer as a backhander but i have other sites so hardstanding for those would be a bonus.
