wireless boosters

just buy the ethernet adapters, plug one into your hub then into a wall socket and likewise where you are using the computer. wireless is crap. especially hte old bt hubs like mine:thumbdown:they were 50 quid johny

 

We have one of the old BT black hubs, about 5 years old, works great, often we have three lap tops on at once, no problem.

 

Mine even works well in the garden.:001_smile:

thats what i have, if take the lt to the other end off the house works spot on but in the office its got like 6 walls to get thru :confused1:

That is pretty much where your problem lies methinks. I can get wireless through a ceiling or one 22" thick wall no problem, and someone sat in the derive about 15-20" away could probably access the wireless, but through two walls or upstairs at the other end of our fairly small house it is pretty sketchy. As that is not normally how we use the wireless it is not much of an issue, so i am afraid i cant offer any help. I have used long phone line extension leads before with no problem though- I have seen them on a reel so they must be fairly long i would imagine.:001_smile:
