Rubbish. Everyone can be marketed to.

The Stihl ads for farmers are completely different to the ones for homeowners. If they now wish to target professional arbs, these adverts will be different still.

They may even be devoid of all 'slick'- and work because of that!

I don't see anything wrong with what the OP is asking. If they were in my town I'd pop along.

Hi again,

Yep, as you will have already worked out, it's for STIHL. The reason we're looking for your help is that it's important to consider actual opinions from real people - never assuming something is right just because we like it.

You obviously haven't read the Stihl policy? That's "we're right, even when we make the 201t and 261, and when we decide to blanket ban anything online"

I am on a diet apparently. But here is my view ' Why has the quality of Stihl saws gone right down the toilet in the last five years' clutches on the 261 and the withdrawn 661 to name two. Even I have been looking at saws made by hoover makers.

Interested to see the final ads that get the approval of the industry pros. Would be great to see some ads showing the true capabilities and toughness of their equipment in the real world environment. Tested to destruction :bash:

That said it would be tough to get an advert which would actually supersede an opinion formed through ongoing discussion with peers within this forum and others of what equipment is currently best for any particular task.

Knock yourself out then! If that's what works for you....
