198 mature poplars to fell Coalville.

What is the long term plan. Why stump grind? It will hike the price alot and poplar will rot out relatively quick in forestry terms. Roots sucker without stumps.

As said a digger of destruction will probably best for cost effectiveness.

I think they would be to big for that harvester.. It's a pretty straightforward job with the right kit.

 

The site needs to be cleared to allow access for wagons, lorries and tankers. They are an established client so would like to sort it for them..

 

not at 35-45 DBH; my little H754 with supercut 100 head would deal with those sizes with the occasional double cut. That h480c head in the video is a 680mm opening / 710mm cutting head

Just a thought, is it worth considering Helmdon as part of the overall plan? If the site is fairly flat and access good then extraction may be OK, there's a decent load and Helmdon are reasonably near and sometimes looking for good, clean poplar.
