is he any good when he does work if he is just say that having mondays off is not on and his excuses are not on say if he does it again then he can find a new job. if he not much cop look for a new groundie.

When he works he is the nuts but I've had him nearly 3-1/2 years the mobile phone still comes out but the work gets done so not really an issue but 3 years no sicky then in the last 2 odd months it's the 4th time and always is a txt at 6am on the Monday! Smashed the first job just pulled up to the second luckily just hedges today. Nice one Ian there's plenty of tree surgeons around that will work for £120-£130 but as your all aware that can't be justified every day.

if the job can't justify the wage then fair enough

 

if any one ever offers £130 a day I'll be knocking them out of bed at 6am wanting to start, not txting in sick :D

Haha he's not on £130 what I'm saying is my contacts to s/e climbers that work for me occasionally don't charge less if on the deck. I've just checked my emails and had a cv sent to me from someone fully qualified local.. See what happens.

It's the regular occurrence on Mondays since wage increase rather than let me wake up to a txt then ignore me all day if he says he wants time off that's no problem I can cover him.
