Bought mine last time think it was £21 still not bad, still working ok, went through the chains today as it was wet, so day in the shed! Oh nearly forgot you can get new grinding discs by phoning the Lidl Helpline or of course buy them online.

"if its a pico chain then they will not do them only does the larger chains."

does my PMX milling chains no problem, took a bit of time setting everything up, but no problems, and a perfect cut every time

Would not be without mine. Use my saw for firewood and carving, never got to grips with a file such that it would cut as well as using this chain grinder. I know, you can call me an amateur... I am

I bought one of these about 3 years ago and bought an extra one just to get a spare disc ( lazy git ) been fine and does a good job. You have to be aware the clamp is mostly plastic which can give you a bit of artistic licence which can be a good or bad thing. I have used the edge of a diamond disc to true up the grinding disc a few times but not fitted a new disc yet.

I had to confiscate our grinder , the lads were just too heavy handed with it and were munching through too many rolls of chain. Files only for them and I only use it if a chain gets wrecked.

Even with a light touch I think they munch chains but good half way through a chain to even the teeth and get the angles back especially with my hand sharpening :001_rolleyes:
