Being picky now but it can be annoying when you're nice and clean in your living room and pick up a lump with a bubble of sap. This then gets on your hands and the missus reacts none to well as you put black marks on kit. As for your issues the web of your hand then gets stuck to your beer glass as you put it down to refill! But it does indeed burn hot and smells quite nice.

One squirt of WD40 and your hands and pint glass are clean and smelling good! :laugh1:

I burn a lot of leylandii too... season well and control the burn in a good stove it's good free heat (no one else wants it!)

how long to season

Not long, maybe 6 months tops, so long as its undercover, you will know when its dry because it becomes very, very light.

Leylandii is wood.

Wood burns and produces heat.

Dry wood burns better than wet wood.

Your dry Leylandii will burn and produce heat.

Use it.

Enjoy the end result.
