Disco 3 & 4

I've had one for 6 months now and it has covered 120k, I've done 8k.

Doesn't cost me any more to maintain than anything else I have had (Mercedes ML, defender, Audi's). When people talk body off it isn't an issue. The disco is designed with a quick release body that one man can remove in 4 hours which makes jobs easier and in some cases quicker. However the body would only have to come off to resolve a major issue, just about everything else can be done (all be it a bit fiddly) with the body on.

My discovery had new bottom arms at 80,000 miles, it weighs 2.8 tonne and gives a magic carpet ride so something has to give on UK roads.

I would have another in a flash. I have just come back from Stranraer in mine. 250 miles none stop and you get out as fresh as you get in. It will cruise all day at any speed you want and is also happy with a decent load on the tow ball.

HI KEV your right there something has give on lower front bush now im told there up rated BUT the body off job only take 4hrs at land rover dealer but that £150 plus VAT per hr in the ribs mate not nice that i no of 2/3 jobs were the body has to come off im not going back to land rover AUDI or other german cars thanks jon

Never had an issue with our h/brake.

These so called "issues" with these cars are blown out of all proportion. The very large majority of people who actually get to own one, would buy another. Can't be all that bad!

As I posted earlier Jon, cam/timing belt is under £300.

My air suspension compressor became weak, new one would cost over £600, but my mechanic (an independent) got a kit from LD, cost £150 including fitting.

I think the LR dealers stitch people up, find yourself a good independent and your fine :thumbup1:

HI SKY that sound cheap your right there sky better off with a small independent dealer but the misses would one but im a VW/AUDI man now thanks jon
