Looking for a PTO chipper to run off a 50-75 HP tractor only needs to take up to 5 inch material but must be able to tackle conifer and thorn what do you recommend ideally secondhand

Nothing made further away than the EU, nothing that is advertised on ebay as an 8" for £1,500, and check the provenance with the original supplier or manufacturer.

I'm looking for something similar and all I've really figured out so far is to stay away from those cheap Chinese things. You can just by looking at them that they are made from recycled drinks cans and won't last five minutes. In fact I was talking to a lad who used to own one the other day and apparently they don't even have replaceable anvils. The infeed is supposed to be hopeless too.

 

As already said, most things European should be reasonable. Probably easier to find something then ask about it as there are so many choices. TP do some nice small models that still have roller feed, but they're like rocking horse poo on the second hand market!

Rare things... Not many people go for small PTO chippers so there's not many around second hand. Shame as I'd love one for my alpine but can't really justify buying a new one...

Buy a pumped Tow behind and take the chipper off the chassis and weld a bit, botch a bit, and stick a pto shaft on, proper job!

That has crossed my mind several times....

 

It might end up as another thing gathering dust in the shed, only used a couple times a year.... Be handy on the right job though..
