In all fairness my 560 has been my go to main saw for the last 10 months apart form when I'm climbing etc I just don't think they are up to hours and hours of felling it just overheated dealers have said the rings let go but waiting to see what happens!!

 

 

At the trust my 560 was my main thinning saw for 2 years buddy. Never skipped a beat. Had 2 years of hard use.

Ring pin I believe

They said it had nothing to do with the oil I was on Oregon red oil however they did recommend I get some xp so managed to get some for £57 4litres 3x the price so see what happens

 

 

Ouch, I've only ever run my huskys on the red stihl oil with 0 problems.

Funny how these saws are only expected to last 2 years. Looked after, old school saws did much longer.

I can just about get them to last over a year and that's felling with it pretty much 6 days a week then they just play up, im on my 3rd now thinking of getting a dolmar instead or find an old 361 !!

 

What dolmar is the same as 560?
