[quote name='Logsnstuff']you cant get a seasons logs in a boot, depending on the area you live a lot of people wont put logs into their boot, renting an old filling station is expensive with no client base to draw from. importing these logs is not excatly green putting 2-3k miles on them and for a lot of customers local sustainable logs is important.[/QUOte

Most of my customers get through 2 cube a winter with a 5kw stove, some more.

Be a pretty big boot to get that lot in !!.

I agree, most of my customers are a min 2 cube gotta think long and hard to come up with the handful of people who buy a single bag. and other than to trade customers the only nets I sell are for campers in the summer.

I have seen on reservoirlogs.co.uk they used to sell I think 15x40 ltr sacks was the equivalent of a builders bag which around here most use the 90x90x90 never measured myself to see if it was accurate.

we use a transit tipper as long as the bag is close to the edge give it a pull and it lands upside down on the floor pull bag up over the logs job done :)

How do you do it when the customer doesn't want their gravel filled with woodchip and sawdust.

Simple- you decide that your profit margin is more important, and the 1% of customers that would complain can do one as I'm buggered if I'm paying for an expensive crane AND leaving them a £5 bag!

Flip them off the side, take the money and on to the next drop. :thumbup1:

if you have priced your logs so low you cant take the chance on a bag not being returned next time your pricing structure is wrong, you can get an easy 75% returns on bags put a disclosure on the invoice if not returned they will be charged and get paid or get 100% returns.

there are countless options to drop bags off for not a lot of money from scaffolding style frames with engine hoists to boat winches on simple frames it doesnt need to be a hydraulic crane.

it's about 6 months ago there was alot of discussion on regulation coming in and why nobody would be happy about it and its your attitude that will drive it forward.

You tell them to invest in a £5.00 tarp to tip on.

also a good simple solution, I get it in the ear from so many people who have had tipped loads straight onto their gravel and they cant get the crap out.

I've got a big roll of polythene which they use when covering carrots. A roll last for years even half a roll. I lay on gravel driveways, tip logs out of bag, tell customer to keep sheet. No mess, very cheap and everyone happy
