we use a transit tipper as long as the bag is close to the edge give it a pull and it lands upside down on the floor pull bag up over the logs job done

I agree, most of my customers are a min 2 cube gotta think long and hard to come up with the handful of people who buy a single bag. and other than to trade customers the only nets I sell are for campers in the summer.

I have seen on reservoirlogs.co.uk they used to sell I think 15x40 ltr sacks was the equivalent of a builders bag which around here most use the 90x90x90 never measured myself to see if it was accurate.

Simple- you decide that your profit margin is more important, and the 1% of customers that would complain can do one as I'm buggered if I'm paying for an expensive crane AND leaving them a £5 bag!

 

Flip them off the side, take the money and on to the next drop.

if you have priced your logs so low you cant take the chance on a bag not being returned next time your pricing structure is wrong, you can get an easy 75% returns on bags put a disclosure on the invoice if not returned they will be charged and get paid or get 100% returns.

there are countless options to drop bags off for not a lot of money from scaffolding style frames with engine hoists to boat winches on simple frames it doesnt need to be a hydraulic crane.

it's about 6 months ago there was alot of discussion on regulation coming in and why nobody would be happy about it and its your attitude that will drive it forward.

also a good simple solution, I get it in the ear from so many people who have had tipped loads straight onto their gravel and they cant get the crap out.

I've got a big roll of polythene which they use when covering carrots. A roll last for years even half a roll. I lay on gravel driveways, tip logs out of bag, tell customer to keep sheet. No mess, very cheap and everyone happy
