Guys,

Thanks for all the advice. Looks like I'll take the plunge and start getting my tickets and building up some work experience at weekends.

I live the Dundee area does anybody know anywhere good for doing my tickets (CS30 & CS31) I'll get these first and start working as a labourer / groundsman to get experience and then do my climbing tickets.

Cheers

Baz

Good on yer fella.

Takes balls to move on, but like most things that take balls. You will look back on it and that voice in you head will scream "wahoooooooooooo, what a ride".

Wish you well.

I took redundancy from an IT job at 46 - never looked back. I was a keen triathlete so fitness wasn't an issue. Like many have said - the only obstacle is attitude.

Remember - You can if..... rather than you can't because...

Doo it! You'll be knackered, but a really good knackered.
