having a healthy tolerance to 'guy talk'.

I find when out with a group of ladies i have to have a healthy tolerance to 'girl talk', they just don't understand chainsaws:confused1:

I've only worked with one woman on site in 15 years. She was small, but she could drag brush and logs all day!. She was a bit slow climbing (mainly because she was a bit of a perfectionist), great at doing fruit trees. I miss her little face going bright red during the joke sessions at tea-break!

I have worked with a female climber and to be honest her agility and lack of weight made her better at that part of the job than I think I could ever be.

However when it came down to the groundwork she could never be as good as most men as she simply did not have the same strength level. She did however drop the bits smaller than I usually would which meant that in general she could keep up.

Thats my thaughts.

We've kitted out a few girls that are doing Arb / Chainsaw courses at the Barony over the last couple of years, so it does seem to be a ground trend.

Only snag is when they come in asking for size 3 Chainsaw Boots!!

:scared1:

That's the only part that I think guys have the main advantage, in that much of the kit being produced isn't made to fit women.
