the tipper was terrible, it was a scissor type tipper and was to close to the back of the truck would not tip more than a ton, i dont know if it was who built the body or if thats normal with canters.

my first transit was like that, you had to lift the front by hand to give it a little help, but then i got a new one with a single four piece ram. awesome:001_cool:

thats the one thing thats putting me off the jap trucks, they all seem terrible off road. ive taken my ldv through loads of places the jap trucks would never go.

i wonder what they'd be like with nobbly tyres on?

These type of vehicles are all fairly useless off road apart from in the summer.

Nobbly tyres a) wear out quicker b) damage you fuel economy c) are noisy and d) get you stuck more often because you believe you can go in places you can't.

They are awesome on dedicated 4x4's, but a waste of time on anything else IMO.

Cabstar? Tiny. Go the whole hog and get a Bedford Rascal!

they are actually very deceiving. i went to look at one today and paced it out. the cabs actually the same width as my ldv, and the buck was pretty much the same too....maybe a touch longer if anything

steve, I would seriously look at the iveco. A guy I subby for has just picked up and 55 plate Iveco Daily, 120 HP (I think) 28 K on the clock, really good looking motor. 5200 GBP plus VAT. Pulls like a train... :001_tongue:

my brother had one of those several years ago....i think it was on a v-plate whatever that would have been. it was nice to drive and well built, but it looked REALLY bad with a load on, which put me off ever getting one. i dont know what the newer models are like?
