i saw one train loaded with spruce come through exeter st davids last week hearing north while waiting for the train to paddington

I'm guessing that could be the one that passed my house ( across the field) which goes to preston after a turn off at blackburn. Probably wrong though, there's been a lot of timber trains over the past year

This is the Euroforest train that leaves a private siding near Kinsteignton and goes to the chipboard factory at Chirk near Wrexham.

 

Why would a train go further north than it needs to? Can't see it coming from Devon to north east lancashire to back south to Wrexham

Could they recycle chipboard to make new chipboard ? Lots of old furniture goes to the dump.
