When you go to supermarket buy a couple of pencils and charge mileage

If your over 35 miles ( i think ) you are entitled to a meal

I'm afraid it does smack of fact, the mileage away from your place of work to book a meal on expenses is correct - not sure if it is 35 miles though.

Afraid not! And it's not just self employed people that work the system. Mrs Egg and I went to look at a motor today, in her company car, her boss asked her to collect a sample from as far north-west in the companies patch.......most of the fuel for OUR journey covered by business,"as they say".
