Skyhuck, good call on the sticky gloves, I'm gonna buy a box of them and make a jump suit in fact iirc black boxes in aeroplanes are made from the same stuff.

Everyone knows Mums dont need 1st aid tickets, they just spit on a hanky and wipe the cut, good as new! Mummys' little soldier boys would be a lot safer, with Mum on site!

the last time my mum was on site, i was sectioning this huge horrible limb on a hc over a fence and riding paddock. she turned up with a flask and a box of home made goodies:001_smile:. when i came down, her first words were 'why are you cutting it all in silly little bits, just cut it off in a oner':ohmy:made me feel a right little girl.

Nightmare today!

 

Couldnt believe it the plaster fell off:scared1: Had a quick look at my first aid card and it had expired 24 hours ago, would you believe it!

 

Not wanting to get in trouble with the HSE I thought it best to leave it to mummy to sort out but she was in work and couldnt finish till 5pm

 

Had to stop the job(due to fear of infection) and send everyone home, customer wasnt happy and decided to get someone else in, best job I had ever had, £4,000 to fell to buddleia's and prune a japanese maple.

 

Although I have lost the job and I will never get back the 15 mins worth of work we put in (only another 20 mins and it would have been finished) I think its worth it in the long run that no one else was harned in the incident and I can rest assured that the HSE wont come knocking on my door.

 

The chain of events that has happened from a simple cut is unbelievable, you just couldnt make this stuff up.
