Pulling out concrete post base

Been doing some fencing over the past couple of weeks and the last 2 jobs have had to pull out the old concrete posts bases (no posts attached). Any ideas how you could pull them out like pulling out a cork. I have a 1.5 ton digger but when you dig them out you leave a BIG hole and me grab is to big

Don't know your exact situation, but I make the first panel/bay shorter than the original so all your new posts miss the old concrete. Make sense?

As above, it makes the job so very much easier just to stagger new posts in between old concrete.

 

I guess your only issue would be if the old concrete is raised and preventing you fitting new panels level or if putting in gravel boards you would just need to cross cut top of concrete with a diamond blade disc cutter and chip away amount of concrete required to fit new panels and or gravel boards level.

How is a 1.5t grab too big??

Do what they do up here for moving big lumps of granite. Drill a hole then you insert lifting tongs into it as you lift the tongs spread and grip the hole. Will see if I can find a pic

If you need to get them out I use a wacker concrete breaker and a long bar. Or you could by one of these.
