Critters stripping roadside trees.

Spotted these trees along the edge of a road today, almost totally stripped of greenery by these little critters.

Looks spooky seeing these 4 trees draped in webs!

Wounder if the trees will take it and come back?

There are some in a hedge near my house... they did wipe out the foliage on a small patch but it came back again fine.

 

funnyily enough spotted them today when out trimming!

There was a load of this a few years ago down in Sussex, mainly in hedgerows, and it all came back fine.

That looks incredible, crazy to think of the damage such tiny creatures can do when they get together!

Hi, saw what I think is the same thing when out with the dog today, it does look ghostly, then met the woodland ranger and she told me that it`s the work of the Bird cherry ermine moth caterpillar, thousands of them, and that the affected trees will probably survive, but not a leaf left !!
