Just been to my local dealer today and had a play with the new battery powered topper, has anyone got one yet? If so how do you find it? Does anyone fancy one? I'm quite tempted myself as I do a lot of tree maintenance in nursing homes and hospitals....

Looks and feels quite good on first impressions.....

That's not really interesting Treemoose.

I don't know how many batteries are included in the set, but on my Husqys I change the batteries on every startup after a break. I do some takedowns with mine (what I shouldn't do!) and only than I sometimes have to change batteries during work.

When you use the saw for what it was intended for (pruning) and you swap the batteries in the morning and after every break you never end up with a flat battery.

I work with a big company in Germany, and we started using a couple of these battery saws a month or so ago. We love them. For normal tree care, deadwood, etc up to anything as thick as 6 inches, they work really well. Especially with climbing as you don't have to try pull-starting it. Just make sure you put the break on....
