Need a stump grinder, worked out if i had bought something like an HB20 a year ago it would have just about paid for itself.

Currently i sub in others or simply give the work away... :sneaky2:

Capital - 2-2.5k either for a S/H machine or deposit on a new/ better S/H machine.

Mainly domestic ( 95% ) so narrow access needed.

Trying out an HB20 next week so will see how i get on with that.

what other machines would be worth looking at? If getting finance i would like to limit it to about 4k, so gives me a max of 6.5k with the deposit. Really not bothered if its S/H or new, can do pretty much any maintenance myself.

:thumbup1:

I Got to exactly the same position a you Matt.

I got a the Predator 450 from Arbrep Services and it's been money well spent.

I purchased the Predator 360SW a few months back. 14hp Kohler engine so 1hp more than Rayco/Husq  Having the Multitip systems is awesome on it. Have done tiny-large stumps and 1 stump that was about 45" across and customer wanted it completely out due to having a driveway built. Munched through it no probs. Also is easy work with the turntable compared to moving the whole machine. And so far no problems with it.

Whilst having breakfast just watched the groundsmen dig out a palm approx 16" across & 25ft tall & man handle it on to the back of a gaitor.

They then got one of equal size & lifted it in to place by hand. All they had was spades & a scaffold pole!
