A website can be really good, but its not just the making of it you need to think about it's how to get people to read it in the first place. Having a facebook business page to link to it can help, and starting off with a facebook page might give you better results anyway and it's something you can do yourself. Depending on your exact business and so on.

Done mine with moonfruit.com, took about 3 hours to do and links in with all our social media ( Facebook, twitter, instagram, youtube etc)

Fairly easy step by step guides and templates.

Bought several domains and pointed them all to it.

Really no need to pay anyone to do it for you, same with SEO etc..

I am just in the process of of putting together our new website. Its a wordpress based site and I just bought a theme (about £37) and set about customising it and adding content. Itsbeen fairly straightforward and there are loads of tutorials on the web. I've actually enjoyed the process and now have the skills to keep it updated at no further cost to myself.

I've been involved in a marketing project too and the secret to SEO is now not just getting the keywords into a website. Linked content is all important now so linking social media to your website and keeping content updated is what helps drive it up the search engine rankings.
