I've had chickens, pheasants, rabbits, beer, whiskey and cash up to 50 pound notes. MOst of it was was when I worked hard and struggled. As I got towards making it look easy I just complaints about how much we charge!!

Keep making it look hard and you'll get more tips! Thats my tip!

Was given a 50g pouch of golden virginia and £20 last year from a really cool retired chap who was a chartered engineer consulting on estate management for the MoD...was a two day job topping and reshaping some maple and taking down a dead elm, he was so impressed with us he was out filming us and inviting friends and family round to watch..

I still get phone calls from him occasionally just to ask how i'm doing and to see if business is good...

Some customers are just absolute diamonds!

had the money-£100 biggest tip, and jam, and a 1st edition book called the highfield mole, double signed and dated, selling on amazon atm for £500-1150.00 but the best by far was last year, a 3 day job, really nice family-bacon butties, tea, hot daughter to flirt with ect, on the last day, the daughter came out as father was working, saying "dad told me to give this to you" gave us each a £20, thought nothing of it, went to buy some beers on way back to yard, pulled the note out my pocket-she had written her phone number, with a cute little message on it! still got it somewhere!
