Eddie, you say fully recyclable cans, I have around 40 at the back of my garage where they get lobed when empty, do you want em back as local tip said I couldn't put them in the plastic recycling skip as they had a combustible in once?

Hi Gray,

Make sure the cans are fully empty and put a few at a time in house hold recycling.

I would suggest you remove the label to save confusion.

The 5 litre cans are made of the same plastic as milk bottles and so fine to be recycled.

If you take 40 to the tip or fill your bin with them it will be seen as commercial waste and they have the right to refuse them or ask you to pay as with any other commercial waste.

Kind regards

Eddie

Thats a down side to aspen I would say, people will end up burning them just to get rid.

I just leave the cans open for a couple of days to make sure there's no residue left, then take the labels off and put them to be recycled.
