Agreed, cannot see the point in going back to a pedestrian.

I ran a Carlton 4012 radio remote for a couple of years it was great and effortless but I bet i never used it more than 20 times due to access issues. I still had a pedestrian grinder but only a 13hp job. Doing big stumps with that was nasty. With the HB20 it does not matter about the size and it is pretty effortless to use but will get in loads of spots big grinders won't.:)

I don't think our equipment is expensive, I understand it's at the higher end of the market but it lasts forever with little or no faults. Certainly engines, hydraulics etc or what I determine as major faults are unheard of, with the lack of maintenance required on these Beatles grinders there is no downtime. They end up being the cheapest machine.

There are other machines around now with good ideas etc but the lasting capabilities are still unproven.

I have that very same grinder bought from dean, and it was a struggle to spend that money!! But I must say it has been awesome!! Can't beat hydraulic, I would never have belts again. Has anyone put a pto on there 2550's dean and how'd you get on enquiring about a mulcher head?
