Customer gave me these today thinking they would be handy for tightening straps on roof bars or trailer. They look more nautical to me but you guys will probably know what they are?

 

One of them is stamped made in Switzerland so Nautical maybe not?

Hi the first one is an all in one band strapping and metal belt crimping tool. The others the same but you use them in pairs.

They are used for banding together timber packs etc. Good find. :001_smile:

We used to use them for banding materials onto pallets as above. You need the appropriate band and clips, metal and polypropylene band for the respective types. Pull the band through the slot by hand then tension it with the lever. Put the clip on and crimp it then push the lever down firmly to cut.
