I can recommend Husqvarna 545RX . 45cc powerful . With an Oregon " jet fit " head you can run 4mm dia line if you want . Also will run a mulching blade . Very good tool IMO .

I stand corrected! There are loads of good strimmers out there, I think echo is prob the best bet.

I would personally avoid both of them because of the loop handle. A bike handle style is much more comfortable for long sessions.

It is the UE modes with the bike-type handle. The D-loop models are LE. I'm only thinking of the bike-type.

Dont use a tri blade but get a mulcher. If you cut off a 10 foot bramble with a blade, it then dries into a 10 foot piece of barbed wire that will wrap around your legs for the next 3 years. Mulching blades are excellent and cut into 4inch pieces that are harmless. I cleared 3 acres of dense head height woodland brambles with a mulcher and it was a delight. You can also dig them out with the blade which you can't easily with a tri blade.

Will second that, we have stihl fs480's with mulcher blade, nothing gets in it's way
