Hi guys,

Just wanted to check if it's just me/mine being faulty, but I really struggle to get my Husky combi-can's fuel side to stop leaking around the base of the spout.

I end up fiddling with it for ages to get it to seat properly and not dribble when I'm filling a saw. Is it just me? Do they all do this?

Yes, it does. And TGB has hit the issue bang on - it's getting the thing to sit plumb that's the problem. The knurled ring goes on fine, but the middle tube bit sticks at all sorts of angles.

Sort of glad to hear it's not just mine, if you see what I mean?! Are the Stihl ones any better?

make sure the middle tube bit isn't sat back/down preventing it from sitting 'squarely' onto the fuel can threads. Also ensure the threads on both are clean and crud free.

Got the same prob but oil end,The only way i could get it to sit square is to not put the rubber washer in and cut the three little plastic bits off that line up with the holes in the nozzle as one was bent which stopped it all lining up.Still not right but will have to do.

Every Husky can I've ever come across does exactly the same. Total PITA, & takes some time and practice fiddling to get the spout to sit plumb.

Sack it and buy a Stihl. May cost a few dollars more, but probably pays for itself with the amount of fuel you'll save not dribbled all over the floor, back of the van, customers drive!!!!!

Never had as dribbling issue with my Stihl!

I had a stihl combi can liked the tool storage and being able to see how much fuel oil is left but the screw on spouts kept cracking when tightened up so took it back and got the husky can.
