How is the stride with it on the bridge ring? Looks fine from here and would be totally clear of the spider.

If the elastic is tied short, close up to the blue rope of the haas, then it seems fine and 'a full stride'.

I have only had two climbs since I got it on Wednesday so it is far from perfected. There is plenty of room for tweaking. And as you can see in the pic. The elastic can come under the bridge and up yo a higher point if needed.

I'd definitely say go for it.

If you put one of those little rubber grommet things on the karabiner after the loop it'll stop it slipping down, and also keep the karabiner in the right position 👍

T14, I would dispose of the chest loop karab or the brass snap because it makes the whole thing very long.

I need to sort out a well fitting chest harness with the brass sling attached nicely. I don't like the crab being there. I can imagine a slip might result in a broken rub or two.

When using the HAAS which is the best way to descend?

I note that just using a friction hitch is not considered safe so is it a choice between a figure of 8 or Ddrt?

I realise that using a Zig-Zag or a Hitchhiker with a friction hitch is okay but for us simple souls without either, which way is best?
