Hi Folks.

 

I've been lurking here for quite a while and thought that I should sign up and introduce myself.

 

i'm Brian from Monikie in Scotland.

 

I'm relaly an avid firewood collector and through no fault of mine I ended up in the Husky camp.

 

it was slightly cheeper to begin with and - well I liked the name!!!

 

I'll no doubt have some questions in the future.

Hiya, I am new here too, although I got some fungi help last week. I have been working with trees for about 6 years, love it, having chosen as a preferred path after growing children allowed. Have 2 more modules to pass on the Tech Cert management day, have done PTI 3 day, and soon to do QTRA as well. Work 2 days a week for a local authority arbs section and the rest of the time for myself, which is fab apart from the book-keeping!

Hi, I'm a new member, although not in any shape or form a professional, I'm here to listen and to get advice from those who know better. Having a wood burner I'm interested in the conversion of trees to logs. Have myself a chainsaw, PPE and have been on a course to learn how to use it with safety in mind. Now looking at a log splitter and appropriate advice.

Was recommended you guys by a gardener at a local hall.

 

Got my basic training coming up in October and sorting my chipper/first aid to go with it.

 

Under no illusions about getting in the profession, certainly going to take time but I know its going to be worth it
