4x4 van

Anyone know of a good small 4x4 van other than the kangoo or just a standard van which is good on diesel? looking to get rid of my truck cheers:001_smile:

If you can find one the django (sp) berlingo looks handy but it will be LHD a jimny might be right for you or a berlingo sized van. Sadly I don't think there's a cross over, there dam well should be by now though. I'm not sure on the vw. They're blooming expensive and I doubt that great on fuel.

Depending on what you want to carry, but the Suzuki Jimny is a fine little 4wd, with the rear seats folded down you can get a few saws etc in there, great off road, not so much fun on a motorway drag, with a light foot you can get about 40mpg out of them. Bomb proof reliable, will legally tow 1100kg.

VW's are not cheap but good mpg and can do serious mileage. Alternative is the new Fiat Panda 4x4 diesel

The Environment Agency use a lot of Mitsubishi Outlander commercials and I think they're pretty good. Have 2wd, 4wd and centre diff lock , very economical and I think they have a respectable towing capacity too. Ours have BFG All Terrains on and are really good on slippery ground. Not so good in deep ruts but worth considering I think.

I was trying to find something similar last year. I settled for a d4d Hilux, really watching the right foot and using dipethene im getting 500+ miles to the tank. Im looking into adding a hydrogen system to get more. I was going to get a jimny but Id never hear the end of it with my friends... Im 6 foot 3
