Celebrity deaths

I don't want to seem heartless but I don't really understand the fuss when a "celebrity" dies. People die every day, some having quietly done great things but will never be noticed by the majority. Sure if for some reason you feel you have some understanding of them or almost feel like you know them but is this the case for most of us? It's sad to hear that 25 year old Peaches Geldof died today but is it any different from any other 25 year old dying prematurely?

I honestly want to understand why these thing seem to affect some while I feel very little. Am I alone?

RIP Peaches Geldof

Not alone mate. Sure it's sad, but there are many good 'normal' people with great promise who have done good deeds and die young. It's sad of course, but I never knew them, if I grieve for every sad loss of someone I never knew or met I'd be a very depressed individual!

Peaches Geldof wheather liked it or not was always going to be a "celeb", she was born into it , I cant remember any story about her being a fame hungry diva etc, and she was someones mother/daughter, that's sad .

quite right she had no choice she was born into the celeb world if you like and suffered the loss of her mother i believe early in her childhood and she leaves two children behind very sad rip .

You have used 'I ' 5 times and don't like others getting attention.

Do you want us to agree with you or give you our opinion on your thread ?
