I'm just wondering how come it's possible to buy a 550xp from the US have it shipped to the UK, pay import fees and still save over £60 compared to the best price I've seen for the same saw in the UK.

I'm not ranting, just wondering why dealers in the US can offer better prices than dealers over here?

I believe the pricing difference can be based on Two things for starters.

First the shear Volume of dealers and product actively being sold year round in this country is very large. The customers are only willing to pay a certain amount and the manufacturers know that. The Second reason is the fact that the exchange rate favors buyers of product from the UK within US markets. My 2 cents anyway.
