Aye, the clients were a local estate, and they wouldnt pay for a chipper or extra member of staff so they decided to do the clear up in-house... rather them than me!!

We just left all the brash in neat piles and all the logs in manageable sizes stacked ready for collection. Out of the three trees that came down I estimate there was about 8 cube in it all together.

Yes you can its called riging and lowering much easier and quicker, i flipping hate cut n chuck.

Looked a nice job though.

Rigging and lowering is cool, especially when there is a real need for it and it works well, but how can that be quicker than a cut and chuck??

Dont get me wrong, I love rigging, and I love having to think about how to move a cut limb around, out and down from the tree but when it;s not necessary, it's nice just to cut and let it drop.

Confusion on my part, i thought you meant cut hold n chuck, freefalling is quicker than rigging.

Lowering is quicker more effecient and safer than cutting holding and chucking. You can cut pieces much larger so fewer cuts etc

I'd of partially lowered those trees from the looks of the pics, especially that bendy limb, the positioning looked awkard and maybe I could of lowerred it easily and quickly in 3 bits.

Hard to tell from pics though.
