Plugs is a good idea,but i wear radio ear phones under my muffs and would'nt want to miss my radio 4,also i put the little radio in my shirt and my mobile next to it, so when the phone rings it interferes with the radio,never miss a call even 80 foot up a tree.

I like the idea of a radio muffs but isnt it abit dodgy wont hear things like peoples voices although i would love some

There are a lot of firms that won't allow radio muffs. I'll use my ear phones if I'm log splitting as the splitter is so quite I can still hear people talk to me, but if I'm sawing,climbing or operating any other machinery then no way will I wear them.

Yeah it does haha to be honest the muffs are not great they dont seat against my ear 100% when chipping noise does enter into my ear.

 

Its the straps they allow small gap between me and muff.

 

But for climbing i love it so comfty no noise probs when using a saw.

 

do you have the large green muffs or the smaller pelter ones? the smaller orange ones block out less noise but sit better imo but not everybodys heads are the same

I use the Pacific Kevlar, there are muff mounts even.
