Anyone tried these Tree Stuff - TreeStuff Chainsaw Lanyard

 

They also sell the clips seperately so you can keep them on your saws all the time and interchange the lanyard. Look pretty cool

Strangely I have one in the car.

 

Don't ask why or what for as I don't actually climb. Just saw it and wanted one.

 

It's never been used. They do look good, but. I wouldn't really trust it on any large saws. Like the 660, the clip does look like it will break under weight. It probably won't just looks like it.

I've been using 1 of them for about 10 years Steve, except they're yellow.

 

Edit, just seen the clip, I don't see the point of that, it's a weakness, unclippinga 3 way Krab isn't too tricky.

I'd probably get one if you could have a clip on each saw, and if it didn't have to be shipped from abroad.

Also, with one plastic clip on each saw, dumb ass groundies would break them straightaway, slamming them in tool box doors, stepping on them etc....

Since we started using a bit of climbing line and a micrograb I wouldn't go back. Pull the tail and the saw is at your hip, squeeze the grab and its ready to use…...

Pic Tom? Have you created a weak link into the system for safety or would that be the attachment point on the saw?
