Throw cradle method and a bigshot.

8 & 10 oz bags dependent on the tree species or ivy abundance.

cube is essential imo. I have an old falmteimer with old zing it line in and a newer stein with airline in that one.

My accuracy is awful even with big shot. I just have not got it.

but I do favour installation of a line into the tree now from the ground as I like to srt to tip if I can.

also use throw lines alot for pull line installation and hanger removal.

Not adverse to using a ladder and going up trees the old way though.

RopeKnight is worth every bit of its money to me (bought an extra in case I ever lose primary.) I deal with a lot of trees that are dense with dead interior brush or live sucker growth. Additionally a lot of them require a high tie in point.

I put it where I want it with a Big Shot, let it run till it comes back to the ground. Bags often got hung up coming down, and often got hung up when pulling them back up over an undesirable limb or few. I thought it paid for itself in saved time on the first day and made me a significant amount more money on the rest of that first one week job.

Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on the rope knight how good is it and is it worth the money?

Cheers

The RopeKnight is an excellent tool and much better than all other throw weights available.
