What's you fuel mixing arrangements?

I have cans, funnels, jugs, filters and oil measuring container. It does not seem very streamline and still regally spill fuel which is pouring money away. What do you lads and lasses do?

I have an oil bottle with graduations on the side . One grad per 5ltr . Oil in first squirt the petrol on top .

Yes I have some oil with graduations but it's easy to put too much in and then it's out for the next filling.

It's not so much the oil as decanting fuel from a 25 litre can. Getting a neat 5 litres out preferably filtered into the can with the oil.

sometimes I'm a bit short and have to tip a little more in but never been too heavy .

I only mix in a litre bottle with the oil on top but I'm very careful about spilling fuel (tight git ) and use a filter funnel to decant it into the saw in case any bits get in it. I'm not too fussy about getting the ratio absolutely spot on as long as the oil colours the fuel.

If I were in your situation, I'd use aspen:biggrin:. Since you choose not to, I'd find a more enlightened person:sneaky2: near you to give you all his empty 5L cans. Then, rather than filling up one 25l container, just fill up 5 5L ones.

The Aspen cans are sturdy and can be re-used many times.

When I did still use petrol+oil, I used a large syringe to measure out the oil. Very accurate, very easy and because of the small opening no bits ever get in and all the oil you measured gets to go into the fuel without rinsing etc.
