Spikes

Looking to get my first set of spikes. I use a pair during the week at work but want a pair of my own for weekend work, so would be nice not to have to pay too much. On the other hand I don't want to find myself getting a cheaper pair and then finding that they're crap. Have seen that tree hogs are amazingly cheap, has anyone used a pair? What are they like?

Spikes last forever, so don't skimp on them. I use Geckos and personally think they are the most comfortable spikes out there by a considerable margin, of what I have used

Tried loads and they are the best spikes out there IMO

Even ones that are more expensive.

Personally I preference the strap at the bottom rather than the Velcro at the bottom.

Sadly I have both but gave the Velcro ones to my son

Geckos for me also after trying a few.

 

I have the alloy, strap bottom, velco top type. Cant fault them and as said, worth the investment.

Have had a look at them and they seem pretty reasonably priced as well. What sized gaffs do they come with? Are they interchangeable? My spikes at work have large gaffs on them, took a bit of getting used to when I first used them but couldn't do without anymore.

Ali bashlins for me very comfortable light weight I too like the long gaffs. Bit pricey tho but should last you forever
