Sorry it's not the thread that's bookmarked it's the winch you posted a link to that was recommended in the thread. I will have a look back and see if I can track down the thread.

We have 3 Tirfors 3500kg heavy duty one and a smaller tirfor . They hardly ever leave home . Although for everday use it has got to be the 1600kg Tirfor . Which has proved invaluable in the recent storms we have had .

Hi Mate that's the same as mine but a different colour, mine came from machine mart. only thing I remember is the cable release lever was a bit awkward on the first few jobs but soon loosened up. Good winch well pleased with mine if not a bit heavy.

We carry a TU16 and a snatch block, combined as a 2:1 when necessary it covers most jobs with ease. Alot lighter than the T35 so less of an issue to get to work.

Don't forget to order spare shear pins too. I think they are around 10 quid for 10

I had the yellow weblift sold by the 4x4 folks. £150. Nowt wrong with the winch but the cable should be binned; it has major issues with twist and in my case eventually fouled up the inner cable pull mechanism trashing the winch.
