Evening all,

 

Im looking for a new cable for my old PTO winch, does anyone have any ideas where I can get one from? aboutr 50-60m preferably.

I think Clark Forest can get them made to order:

How strong is the winch? What size rope you going to put on?

As said Clarks have many in stock. Also the suppliers of the winch can get them too. Had a couple of cables from AT Osbornes for a Fransgard winch.

 

Always worth a call to local lifting equipment companies who deal in chains and things as they often have something suitable. Also you need to know how strong your winch is to get the right size cable.

 

I have a 10mm in the 6.5 tonne winch and 13mm in the 9.5 tonne one.

The EA use plasma rope in their winches. Having dragged 90m of 13mm wire rope across a forest i can see the advantage.

as it happens i found a roll of cable in 1 of my containers the other day ,iv got no use for it ,i aint got a winch
