what big saw ??

Hi all hope everyones keeping busy !! Im after some advice im after buying a new saw ive just bought a husqvarna 560xp but ive got a huge beech tree to take down and was looking at getting a 3120xp with a 42 inch bar I know it wont get much use but is it wise buying one of these or does anyone recommend anything else ? What does everyone out there use for their biggest saw ?? Thanks in advance !! :)

i had a 3120 on a 36 inch bar what a heavy beast it is you will know you,ve used it for a while

unless you have good use for one would think it abit of a waste of money

how big is the tree probably a 660 or 395 on a 36 inch bar would do what you want and be less tiring

Agreed . 395 0n a 36" .404 skip .

That's my thinking Albert.

How many times, realistically, are you going to come up with stuff more than 6' in diameter?

 

Don't get me wrong, 3120's and 880's have their uses, but they are bastards to wield!

how many old blocks you got kicking about in that truck mate looks to be a different one every time! :lol:

 

395xp is a absolute beast and will handle allot more than you think! and is a much better saw than a 660 in my opinion i have owned a 395 and i own a 660 now and it just cant hang on those long bars like the 395 did
