Attaching a vice to a chipper

You either need to bolt it direct or make a mount plate up. Can't weld cast vice straight to chipper obviously. Under worktop type ones would work well if there's a strong bit of overhanging bodywork to mount under. Trouble is bodywork will tend to flex.

If it was me I'd find a good place to mount (ie. where there's already a bolt holding bodywork or something onto the chassis) and make a bracket up to suit. That way it won't flex and is easily removable for sale.

Dean,

It's all very well posting images of enormous chippers where you can actually walk between the engine components they are so large but Aspen probably runs a wee CS100 or that pencil sharpener you keep under your desk that masquerades as a Bandit wee chipper.

Bolting a vice to that would just topple it over...ha ha ha!
