Im back again. does anybody know where I can source Kohler parts. It is the K181 that 2 stroke ady mentions I can only find moderner engines online in the uk. I have tried DIYspares as I am hoping to compile an order to them shortly. I have spent a few hours browsing websites just to confirm the type variant and carb type.

Meetens specialise in this type of thing. Try K141 as well but knowing them if you say its a kohler on turner flail they will know exactly what model it is.

We have had a run of sales lately which have resulted in some very tidy PX machines.

But this one tops it all.

Not so much a PX as bought in machine. I sold it 18 months ago but the guy never used it. He bought it on a whim, but carried on using his walk behind mower, so this week he asked me to buy it back. Don't see them like this often.

Got to be a record for me.

Bought it on Thursday evening, sold it this morning:thumbup:

We have a Cub Cadet 86cm E start which is eating blade drive belts for fun. We bought 5 last year and we are on our last one. We don't give it a hard time but the tensioner arm was bent (over confident boss and heavy grass) last year. We were meant to be using it for verge cutting on the smaller verges but it just doesnt quite cut the mustard even with brand new blades. I have been looking at Toro walk behinds or Scags. Scags seem to be overpriced but the next alternative Great Danes seem too big for the smaller verges. Any other suggestions?

I reckon I am easily taken for a mug.

I had a customer on the phone today grumbling that the mower I serviced at the end of last year would not start.

They said it was the first time they had tried to use it since service. Fair enough, if that is true then we will put it right, but it is strange as every mower goes out with a full tank of Aspen, just to avoid this sort of thing.

So they bring it in this morning and the tank is full of petrol, not only that, but the underside of the mower is plastered with hardened mud and grass.

Now, all my serviced mowers go out spotless, on top and underneath. So it has obviously been used with no problem, then refilled with pump fuel.

As it happens the problem was not fuel but a failed ignition module.

What gets me is that people obviously think I am stupid, why do they try to blame the service, and furthermore, do they really think I won't twig that it has been used? Why tell blatant lies?

Rant over.

I get them now and then trying it on, Everybody must have cut their grass at least once by now this year. I would have asked what other mower are they using if they have not used that one and why am i not servicing it every year? Just out of interest, how old was the customer?
