Osmo oil test

Have you tried osmo Wood protector I think its 4006.A coat of that first seeps right into the wood

Interesting to know but don't see the point to be honest. It's way more expensive than oil in the first place and I don't think the finish is as good even if it had soaked in better. The only advantage I can find with it is the paler colour that may suit some woods.

Sorry to be blunt.

Are these finished yet? can you put us out of our misery and let us know which is which ? :)

My last post on the first page.

Sadly not impressed with it. It is nicer than Briwax but in my view does not have the depth of finnish of a good oil. Also since the test the table with Osmo is mine and it marks very easily. I know others on here really like it so maybe just down to personal preference and expectation.

I don't rate it at all compared to other finishing oils on the market. It's expensive to.....

I have used Morrells ezeoil for years and have yet to find a better oil finish. Easy to apply, great depth and colouring and a solid finish.

Ooops must have missed that! Well it gives some food for thought, but I think I'll hang fire on buying a can of Osmo for a little while. I'd be interested in hearing what your thoughts are after another few months.
