Wow respect to all of you older guys still climbing. Even now I couldn't imagine myself climbing at 50 but I hope I am, fair play to you all, awesome

Just wondering like, I'm 48,been climbing 20 yrs + and still climbing most days although No1 son does all the big stuff these days. Who here older and still at it, tree climbing that is?

Oh for the days of three knots and three strand. The Prussic loop and an eye in the end of your rope was a major innovation at the time.

 

Thats what Willy still uses, no ironmongery on his harness :) Checked the boot of his car today for his kit but its at his home but will take a snap of it when its here.

 

I have a Willy Mathews working for me , he is 72 and still climbs. Only on the odd occasions now but still does it. The bloke is a legend.
