Hydraulic chainsaw

Has anybody had experience in working with hydraulic chainsaws for carving ,I am looking for a quieter alternative from my petrol stihl saws as I have an neighbor who is complaining to my local council which is causing all sorts of problems!

I have been looking at the stanley cs06 hydraulic saw which is the same saw that the pinskey power guy in america uses .

Also if anybody is selling a hydraulic saw or/and power pack I would be interested to here from you.

Thanks Alan

What size chain do you use on these? Are they slow revving with a bigger pitch chain?[/QUO

Hi drythropple!

You got me there, I have the stanley cs06 with a 14" bar & the fibreglass pole saw with a 12" bar.

Sorry can't be more specific without checking.

I use them on Landrover front tool flow & Mog mewp bucket flow. I also use a power pack if the vehicle access is a problem.

They are really slow, safe, quite, but you could not compare the speed to any of the small petrol saws.

Steve
