Been around for ages haven't they?

 

But no, I'd say its not a bargain considering you can get a tyre: a better, more durable, more effective solution for free.

Tyre is fine when splitting - but it is useful to be able to carry all the splits to the stack in one go; a tyre is a bit too heavy for that.

Just split closer to the stack then.

Second the tyre option screwed to a massive chopping block with meaty screws and big washers. Need something like a low profile trailer tyre ideally. very efficient next to the trailer or stack but mullers your axe handle though.

Does using a tyre really practically save time or is it a little gimmicky? Maybe I should give it a go to find out.

i think it just stop's your logs flying all over the place once you've struck them so in theory it should save time...
